Three Super Easy Herbs to grow in Southern California

Even if you don’t live in Southern California, these also thrive in pots. I made a short video showing the three strongest perennial herbs that grow in my garden: rosemary, lavender, and sage. Only plant one of the first two, because they like to spread.

Rosemary is a “wake up” herb. If you feel sleepy, pick some rosemary and smell it. Keep it nearby so you can enjoy it often. Rosemary is called the herb of longevity, because studies found people who consume more of it live longer. So cook with it, or even chop it up and make a simple tea with it. You can do the same with lavender, so make a tea to soothe you when you want to prepare for sleep. You can also dry the flowers and make a sachet and put it near your bed to help you sleep better.

Finally, sage is known for helping women regulate their hormones. But it also tastes great in stew. You can plant multiple sage plants, because they remain small. All I did was buy each herb, and plant it in a sunny part of my garden. They are lightly watered, and they just want to thrive.

Enjoy these easy to grow herbs, and also enjoy the short video I made to show what these herbs look like in my garden. Just click on the link, and it will take you to my Rumble account where I made this, my first posted video ever. I chose Rumble, because it is safe and does not track users the way the major You-Tube video programs do. I want to honor your privacy and ours too. I need to learn how to edit videos, as I have never done it before. So please bear with me when you see these not well made ones. I promise to work on getting better at taking them and editing them. I prefer to write, but I want to offer my readers all the media options. And if You-Tube ever improves their privacy policies (especially the murky ones people don’t know much about), I will consider posting videos there too.
